We’re huge advocates of the sweetheart table here at Flowers by Yona and let us explain why!

1. Seclusion…hear us out! Your big day is filled with family and friends all there to help you celebrate and you’ll spend most of your reception speaking to them, but a sweetheart table sets a place where your guest can easily come and visit you. This means less walking around and visiting and more time to sit and enjoy the festivities and have a place set alone that will also help you and your new spouse have private conversation. It also allows guests to come talk to you and not have to look for you before the party gets started!

2. Food! Let’s be honest you WILL be starving by the time your reception rolls around, the day is filled with so much activity that food becomes an afterthought. By creating this separate place you’ll have more time to sit, chat, and eat together! This means no standing around going to get food with your guest, speak to your caterer or planner and have plates created ahead of time.

3. Decor, if you haven’t noticed from some of our pictures, a sweetheart table is one of our favorite places to dress up and make unique from the rest of the table decor! It’s the most photographed table! We love making the bridal bouquet the focal point of the table, we add a specialty linen distinct from all the others, votives, candlelight, and more flowers, and so many other elements depending on the weddings style. If you have a chuppah or alter this is the perfect place to repurpose it, it makes this area so distinct and since it is one of the most photographed areas of the night why not dress it up!
