Last month we participated in a very special opportunity. Yona’s brother, Chef David Benstock (Owner and Executive Chef of Il Ritorno in St. Petersburg, Florida) was invited to be the guest chef at the James Beard House in New York City. Chef David and his team were not only responsible for the food, but also for making the space look nice with centerpieces on the tables. Luckily, he knew a floral designer personally and asked his big sister to come to do the florals for this special moment in his life.
We were super excited to be part of it, but also very excited to be able to check out the Chelsea flower district in New York. We went to so many flower dealers whom we follow and love and go to see the hustle and bustle of the market. It was exciting and made us a little jealous. We chronicled some of our adventures in this blog and hope you enjoy all the eye candy. We also want to thank Michelle Edgemont for the use of her fabulous Brooklyn studio while we were there.
